400F Outrunner RC Brushless Motor for 3D Radio Remote Control Park Flyer 2250 RPM This motor is a thrust machine
intended for speed 400 gear drives.
Drawing 12-15 Amps.
It can also run as direct drive (with small props) taking
advantage of the 2150Kv speed. Runs on 2-3 cell lipo packs. On a 3 cell it will
turn a 6 x 3 prop at 20,000 rpm. Perfect for an insane park jet or very
respectable wing. This motor performs great geared in a GWS speed 400 gear box. 3:1 or 3.9:1 seem to be the best ratio for this one. That allows it to be great fit for any stick mount application. Provides over 30 oz. of thrust with the correct gear prop combo (see data below). Direct drive with 5" to 6" props for fast jet or wing (see videos).. Motor comes with AXI mount for direct drive and screws to fit in to any GWS type speed 400 gear box. Mounting holes are 16mm (or roughly 5/8 in.). Does not come with bullet type connectors to plug to the ESC. Aside form the awesome performance of this line of motors. They are extremely user friendly. This is a type A motor. Meaning the shaft is removable So you can swap from pusher jet or wing to your favorite puller application. No more press fitting a shaft or buying a new bell if your shaft breaks. Simply loosen 2 screws and the shaft pulls out for easy replacement or mounting configuration. Made with high temp and high RPM bearings, and high temp magnets good beyond 180 degrees. Also the first I have seen in the industry the stator is now double bonded to the housing. Keeps the stator from moving when crashed during high amp draw situations With the 2.3mm shaft a pinion from a GWS 400 gear box will slide right on and secured with a dab of lock tight. No press fitting pinions and bending shatfs. The gear box allows easy manipulation of the motor to fit the speed, torque, and amp draw needed for your application. We also stock shafts, gear boxes, and apc props. Motor also accepts and is available with 3.0mm shafts. And any 3mm shaft can be used as a replacement. 400FA : Geared or Direct Drive 2150kv ~ 15 Apms (22 peak) ~ 26 Turns KV: 2150 Weight: 1.5oz (43g) Diameter: 26mm Length: 24mm Shaft: 2.3mm or 3.0mm Direct Drive Stats (obtained at 4900 feet)

Tech Notes: An all out awesome up grade for any park flyer. This motor is nicely rated at 15 amps. The data on this motor looks good. But the motor flies better then the numbers show (just my opinion). Direct drive 5" or 6" prop on a wing provides excellent speed and great vertical. Personally flown on the XE2 and speed wing 400 it is a perfect match. Geared 3:1 with 9x7.5 to 11x7 prop provides abundant torque and adequate speed. Numerous magpie owners have reported a perfect match. It's flown on any thing from a flat foam plane to 3lb custom photo bird. Want to have some fun with your park flyer? Try this motor geared 3:1 and a 9x7.5 prop, pop in a small 4 cell. Just make sure you have a carbon spar in their it's pretty fast. Recommended set up 11 x 4.7 apc prop with 3:1 gear box on 3-cell. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Product Reviews for 400F Outrunner RC Brushless Motor for 3D Radio Remote Control Park Flyer 2250 RPM |
